Living in Stonebridge Ranch: 75 Villages, One Community, and Nearly 20 Years of Calling It Home

Stonebridge Ranch has been part of our family’s story since 2006, when my wife and I bought our first home in Fountainview. We were putting down roots in McKinney, and we couldn’t have known then how much this community would come to mean to us.

In 2009, we moved to Regents Park. We owned that home and lived in it for the better part of 15 years, and we still love that neighborhood. The Craftsman-style homes, big front porches, and social neighbors give it a personality that is hard to beat.

About three years ago, we moved to Hills Creek for a bigger home and yard. It’s a beautiful, established village with mature trees, rolling terrain, and the kind of setting we really appreciate.

Having lived in three different Stonebridge Ranch villages, we’ve experienced something that buyers sometimes overlook: Stonebridge Ranch offers many different neighborhood experiences within one larger community.

75 Villages With Their Own Personalities

Stonebridge Ranch includes 75 villages, with a wide variety of architectural styles, home sizes, lot sizes, and price points. That variety is a big part of its appeal. stonebridgeranch.com

Some villages have smaller yards and homes that suit buyers looking for less outdoor upkeep. Others offer larger properties, golf course settings, or views of lakes and greenbelts. Architecture, landscaping, and the age of the homes can make one village feel quite different from another.

Our own experience illustrates that well. Fountainview was where we bought our first home together. Regents Park gave us front-porch living and a neighborhood we grew deeply attached to. Hills Creek offered the additional space we wanted while keeping us in an established part of the community.

When someone tells us they want to live in Stonebridge Ranch, our next conversation is about how they want to live. A big yard, a welcoming porch, a quieter setting, or convenient access to a favorite amenity can all point toward different villages.

An Early Vision for Master-Planned Living in McKinney

Stonebridge Ranch was an early, large-scale example of the amenity-rich master-planned living that has become so familiar in McKinney and across North Texas. Its vision brought together residential villages, recreation, open space, golf, shopping, and neighborhood schools. The original Beach & Tennis Club, with its sandy beach and swimming lagoon, was a particularly distinctive part of that concept. Republic Property Group

Today, we get to enjoy something that takes decades to develop: an established community with mature landscaping, familiar gathering places, and neighborhoods with their own histories.

That combination of planning and time is a big part of what we love about living here.

Amenities That Help Bring Neighbors Together

Stonebridge Ranch’s amenities give residents plenty of reasons to get outside and spend time together. The community offers an Aquatic Center, tennis and pickleball courts, parks and playgrounds, and access to walking and biking trails. Stonebridge Plaza includes a splash pad, playground, picnic pavilion, and additional recreation spaces. Stonebridge Ranch Community Association

There’s also a calendar of community activities, from larger holiday gatherings to smaller clubs and social events. Those opportunities help a large community feel more connected. Stonebridge Ranch Community Association

For us, that sense of connection matters. The amenities are enjoyable on their own, but they also create opportunities to see familiar faces, meet neighbors, and build friendships.

A New Chapter for the Beach Club

One of the biggest changes underway is the redevelopment of the Stonebridge Ranch Beach Club.

The new Beach Club is currently anticipated to open Memorial Day weekend in 2027, putting it on track for next summer. Plans extend beyond the pool itself to include a playground, picnic areas, a pavilion, fire pits, and other gathering spaces intended for use throughout the year. As with any construction project, the opening date remains subject to change. Stonebridge Ranch Community Association

The Beach Club has long been one of Stonebridge Ranch’s signature amenities, and we’re excited to see this next chapter take shape.

Connecting Through Stonebridge Ranch Neighbors

Our connection to the community also extends online. We run the “Stonebridge Ranch Neighbors” Facebook group, a place for neighbors to connect, share local information, ask questions, and keep up with what’s happening nearby.

The group is independently run and is not affiliated with the Stonebridge Ranch Community Association (SRCA).

We enjoy helping those connections happen. A recommendation, a neighborhood conversation, or news about a local business can make it easier to feel at home here.

Local Experience That Helps You Find Your Fit

At Tye Realty Group, our knowledge of Stonebridge Ranch comes from years of living here, building relationships, and experiencing different villages firsthand.

We know what it feels like to buy that first home in Fountainview, fall in love with the front porches of Regents Park, and eventually look for more space in Hills Creek. Different stages of life brought us to different homes, but Stonebridge Ranch continued to offer what we were looking for.

If you’re considering buying or selling here, we’d love to help. With 75 villages to choose from, finding the right fit starts with understanding the details—and having someone beside you who knows the community.
